Do I need a Doctor’s Order if I want to use Insurance?

Based on Federal legislation if we are going to bill your insurance we need a physician’s order from a Physician or Care Provider licensed to practice medicine in the US.  However, with Direct-To-Consumer testing, where a client elects to pay for the test, we have a Physician who can provide that order.  The cost of this is included in the test price.  This physician does not have a patient-physician relationship so questions about tests, interpretation either require a visit to a Physician or through Telehealth providers. We have third-party telehealth providers who can provide these services.
